Lena Cooley – Communication Graphics Instructor

Along with teaching Communication Graphics for KTEC, Lena Cooley teaches Media Technologies and Graphic Communication at Venture High School.  Her connections with various non-profit organizations allow the students to work with real clients providing them with hands-on experience. She is passionate about print media, printing, and video, and is excited to have the opportunity to share that knowledge with her students. Upon receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Advertising, and Public Relations from the University of Idaho, she spent fifteen years working for print shops and advertising agencies.

Since 2000, after receiving a Masters in Curriculum and instruction plus Teaching Certification from Eastern Washington University, and a Professional and Technical Certification, she has taught various classes ranging from English to art, psychology, career focus, and teen living.

Along with teaching, Lena also owns her own advertising, public relations, costume design, and party planning business. She is an avid snowboarder and has coached soccer at various levels including high school, college, and the Olympic Development Program.  She has been married for over 35 years and has two children.
