What is KTEC?

Kootenai Technical Education Campus (KTEC) is a partnership between business and industry leaders, local school districts and local manufacturers. This Branch campus of your local high school provides tuition free industry and business grade training for 11th and 12th grades, while offering dual enrollment credits, industrial certifications, and a new route to success through applied skilled learning.

A joint venture between Coeur d’Alene School District #271, Lakeland School District #272, Post Falls School District #273 and Kootenai County Patrons & Businessmen, the state of the art technical training high school is located in the middle of the Rathdrum Prairie on Lancaster Road.

Parents and students,

The KTEC staff is dedicated to the education of your child and we are excited to get back to school.
As we all know, these are rapidly changing times and it is difficult to know what the immediate future holds in terms of your child’s education. KTEC accepts students from the surrounding three school districts; below you will find a reopening plan based on those district’s current situations. There will also be an open house on September 2nd, details are below.
We hope that this will be an uninterrupted school year, but should it not be, we will communicate any changes via our website, Facebook, emails, and remind. Please make sure we have your most current contact information.
The following is the plan for reopening of KTEC on September 8th.
• KTEC will be open 5 days a week on a normal schedule
• KTEC will follow Panhandle Health’s Mask Mandate
• We will be implementing social distancing
• Please follow the screening recommendations of your sending school district.
