Dental Assistant Program
Dental Assistant Program is a 1-year program that is based upon industry standards associated with the dental assistant field. You will gain essential skills to enter the dental assisting profession through a competency-based learning approach. This course is for in-person students at the NIC workforce training center at the Post Falls campus who have little to no background working in a dental practice. This program will prepare you to sit for the American Medical Technologists (AMT) registered dental assistant (RDA) certification exam. Classes meet in person every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 11:30-2:00. On Wednesdays and Fridays students are required to work on their job shadows and externships. Students must complete 45 hours of job shadow in the fall semester and 75 hours of externship in the spring semester. Students must be able to provide their own transportation.
