What does my schedule look like with my sending high school?

You still remain a part of your sending school. If you choose to enroll in KTEC you will in enroll for 3 periods of your day at KTEC in either the morning or the afternoon sessions.

Who can attend KTEC?

Juniors and seniors from area public schools are eligible to attend KTEC. Homeschooled students and private school students are also welcome. They would just need to enroll for 3 periods with one of the local high schools for KTEC-only.

How much does it cost?

There is no tuition cost. KTEC is part of the Idaho public school system.

Why should I consider attending KTEC?

In addition to earning high school credit, students learn valuable technical, professional and employability skills to prepare for careers and college. There are opportunities to earn college credit, participate in internships and worksite learning as well as earn state and national certifications or licenses.

Can I earn college credit?

Yes! Most of our programs are eligible for college credit or industry certification for program completers.

Can I earn high school credit?

Yes! Successful completion of each semester at KTEC earns 2.5 PTE (Professional and Technical) credits.

How do I enroll at KTEC?

As a sophomore, complete our online application form for a chance to be accepted during your junior year. One program is a senior-only program, which is the dental program, that you would apply for your junior year.
