Cristine Steckman – Administrative Assistant

Cristine was born in the Philippines as her Father served at Clark Air Force Base as an Air Traffic Controller for the US Air Force. At a very young age her and her family moved across the world to Post Falls Idaho as her father had previously grown up in the area prior to joining the service. She has lived in North Idaho for over 30 years, graduated from Post Falls High School in 2003, then attended North Idaho College and obtained her Associate of Science in 2005. She then began work for Kootenai County District Court in 2006 as an Assistant to Magistrate and District Judge’s for the last twelve years. In June 2018 she resigned from District Court and sought a position with the school district so she could be more available for her family. In June of 2018 she accepted the Administrative Assistant position at KTEC and has truly enjoyed the transition of her career and hopes to be at KTEC for a long time.

Cristine and her husband Jon were married in September of 2013 and have two children. As a family they enjoy doing anything outdoors, camping, hunting, fishing, ATV rides, boating, bike rides, and walks. Throughout the years Jon and Cristine have enjoyed coaching soccer, basketball and football for their children’s sports teams. Cristine enjoys baking, cooking, candy making and hosting dinners/parties for family and friends.
